Clinic Games
All games will take place on Saturday mornings for one hour at the Fisher Meadows Clinic field (far back corner the athletic complex - a map of the complex can be found under Documents at the left). The first half hour will be a practice conducted by a professional coaching staff form Oakwood in Glastonbury, CT. The children will participate in friendly scrimmages for the remaining thirty minutes and a parent coach will assist. Parent(s) are required to stay!!
Please have your child prepared to have FUN!!! Proper attire is required. All children participating in the soccer program must plan to arrive to the Clinic field at least ten minutes before their scheduled game. Your child is required to have on his/her cleats (double knotted) and shin guards (worn under socks at all times). Please bring the correct size ball (size 3) and a full water bottle. All items should be labeled with your child’s name and phone number. Long hair should be tied back and no jewelry (including necklaces, earrings, watches or hair clips) should be worn. Please have your child visit the restroom before start time.
Parking is available on either side of the Fisher Meadows Athletic Complex. Please drive SLOWLY!!!!
If you will miss (or be late to) a game…
Be sure to notify your coach as far in advance as possible.
Rain outs
In the event of inclement weather, please call 409-4365 for Town of Avon rain out information.
Safety
If your child has any allergies (especially to bee stings), asthma, or any other serious health issue be sure to discuss this with your coach. We do not provide coaches with an extensive first aid kit. If your child may need more than a band-aid or ice pack, be sure that your child’s coach has it and knows how to use it.
Conduct
Coaches, spectators, and players must remain on the north side of the clinic field at all times. For safety and liability reasons, no one should be on the south side of the field (behind the north end line of All-Purpose Field #2).
Cheer your child on!!!! First and foremost the clinic program is about our children having FUN. The goal is for our youth to learn to play soccer, get along with and play as a team, and show good sportsmanship while having lot's of FUN. We look forward to another great season!
