AVON SOCCER CLUB CLINIC PROGRAM
First and foremost the Clinic Program is designed to allow our children to learn the game of soccer in a fun environment. The goal is for them to play as a team, show good sportsmanship, have F-U-N, and learn respect for all involved. Teams for 2010 spring season are co-ed and all participants are Avon residents born in 2004 and currently in Kindergarten. There are approximately 150 children who participate each season.
Our Clinic Program is held on Saturday mornings at Fisher Meadows Athletic Complex (located in the back corner of the athletic complex). Game times rotate each week with a 8:30am, 9:30am, 10:30am or 11:30am start time. The first half hour will be a fun practice of skills and drills conducted by professional coaching staff from Oakwood Soccer Club. The children will participate in friendly scrimmages for the remaining thirty minutes and a parent coach will assist. This is an excellent way for new coaches to learn about the game.
Please have your child prepared to have FUN!!! Parent(s) are required to stay so be ready to cheer your child on!!!

Please volunteer to coach!!! Without volunteer coaches there is no program!!! Coaching is fun and satisfying. Coaching a clinic team involves one game each Saturday (one hour) and team administration, e.g. distributing uniform shirts provided by Avon Soccer Club and keeping your team together for instruction by the professional coaching staff.
In return for your investment of one hour a week you receive a priceless bond with your child and his or her peers. You do NOT need to be an experienced soccer player or coach to volunteer for the Clinic Program! Avon Soccer Club offers coaching support for both novice and experienced coaches.
