Soccer Referees Needed

**Referees are a critical part of every soccer game!**
The club needs MORE REFEREES
in order to assign the proper number of referees to all games.

Both adults and teenagers are encouraged to become referees. The CT State Referee Program wants to certify more adult referees. Refereeing is a great way for parents to get more involved with youth soccer!

Players, Players Friends, Parents, Coaches:

We need to continue to certify new USSF referees in order to be able to assign the full complement of referees for all the games. If you are interested, consider registering for the course.

The Grassroots Training process (formerly known as Entry Level Training) Grassroots Training  process opened for 2019 certification in mid-July but the registration has been very slow. To become a referee the candidate must be 13 by December 31, 2018. The process is called, The Grassroots Training process. The criteria is solely based on birthdate. The process consists of online training, an online test and once completed the link to register for the required one day, 5 hour in person course will be activated. Registration for the entry level process will be open 1/15/19 and run through 3/31/19, with the required in person sessions starting in mid-February and ending April 7, 2019. The schedule of the in person program can be found on the event calendar on the left hand side of our homepage. Once registered the process must be completed within this time frame to be able to officiate this spring, if not completed the process can be completed when we open again this winter. The cost of the program is $93.95 and the detailed instructions can be found on the homepage of www.ctreferee.net. The first in person sessions are this weekend.
